surprise engagement photographer: katrina + mike

This was such a cute engagement portrait session, Katrina and Mike wanted to do some at the baseball stadium-- so we did some portraits at Surprise Stadium. Well it rained all day, and I was prepared to shoot their evening session in the rain (Katrina wasn't lol!), but it stopped raining and gave us some great skies and nice weather.

We then travel to another location to finish off their session, with a change of clothing.

Got to love the awesome dance moves they busted out lol!!

Mike was really enjoying this "make-out session", wasn't he Katrina? lol :)
I can't wait to capture your wedding day coming up in October!!

{Motherly Love}

So I go to my PO Box today, and I received this BEAUTIFUL card from my mom!

"This is what I see when I look at you
I see a remarkable woman with a kind and caring heart who is beautiful in every sense of the word...
When I look at you...
I see a smile that lights up the room and laughter that is truly contagious
I see strength and wisdom beyond anything I have ever known
I see love- pure and true, compassion and thoughtfulness
I see a woman who walks through this world with gentleness and grace.

I admire you for all that you are and for all that you do
You are everything wonderful in this world, and if I had just one wish it would be
that you could see what I see when I look at you
-Elle Mastro

This defiantly brought tears to my eyes, as I could hear my mom telling these positive words to me. She is a BEAUTIFUL woman who has the MOST positive outlook, truly! ....as I read this card, I saw a reflection of her. My whole life she has given me only supportive words, and I truly mean that, negative words were never spoken. She gave me all support to start the business of my true passion at the age of 23. I was always told, "you're a winner in life", as early as I could remember. I love you mom more than I can say, and I can only wish to be the strong woman you are and mentioned in this card!!

Here is a photo of my mom and I, just a few weeks ago.

jerome arizona trash the dress photographer: jenna + derek

Last Sunday I ventured out to Jerome for a photo shoot. I photographed Jenna's Trash the Dress session, along with her husband Derek...boy it was such a fun and exciting shoot!! First of all, I love when my clients tell me, "I want to do a Trash the Dress session"! Ok, let the fun begin! :D It's always fun deciding on a location, because now it's after the wedding and you have SO many options.

So on this adventure to Jerome, we were really hoping for some cooler weather and a lil break from the 112 temp we had down in Phoenix. Well we arrived and it was in the low 90's, but with sun shinning so bright and hot, yay lol! There were white fluffy clouds were all around us. Well while Jenna was getting her hair and makeup done by Heather Peterson of Pure Radiance Salon, (which by the way turned out AWESOME!), Derek and I scoped out this place...Gold Canyon Mine. It was the coolest place!! It had all these old artifacts from the early and mid 1900, when Jerome was a busy mining town, from tons of cars, trucks, fire engines, you name it.

Well mentioned, "hey clouds just cover up that sun and it would be perfect out!". So about 10 minutes into the shoot...it down poured!!! OMG! We were so not expecting that!! We didn't really have anything to cover and protect the gear. But we did have some fabric...lol Look at Heather protecting Jenna! So I have to say that I was kinda bummed, ok really bummed that we had just started shooting because I would have LOVED to shoot in the rain. But we decided to take cover and continue the shoot after the downpour. But hey it's nice now with a cool breeze and clouds out :D

I really LOVED this location, especially for a Trash the Dress session. Thank you Jenna, Derek and Heather for making this an awesome day! I think we created some very nice eye candy, don't you?!?! :D

Here are some sneak peeks from their session. You can also view Jenna and Derek's wedding images here.

PLEASE LEAVE SOME FEEDBACK?COMMENTS XOXO

Caught them grabbing some booty lol :)

It was pretty cool that Derek's dad worked for Cummin's Engine Co, and a lot of the trucks there had them!

cavecreek arizona wedding photographer: kim + frank

Kim and Frank had a very fun and unique wedding to say the least! These two had nothing but true love for each other- I do believe in "opposites attract", because of the light the glowed from their eyes and the "perma-grin" these two had all day and night reflected that their love would last forever!

Their "first look" took place at he gorgeous Carefree Inn Resort & Villas. This location allowed for some beautiful shots of them as they excitedly saw each other for the first time on their wedding day before the ceremony.

Kim and Frank's wedding had an aspect that was different from most wedding. Who gets to do a photo shoot at their horse stable on their wedding day? KIM & FRANK!! I was so excited when Kim had requested this. Going to this location was very important to them since they unfortunately they will be selling their horses. So capturing this memory with the two of them meant a lot to them--So I made sure this happened!!

Cody's- Eat, Drink & Get Hitched in Cave Creek was an awesome and perfect location to have their wedding ceremony and reception. This venue was such a unique place to have a wedding--it was a very intimate setting both inside and out, and it lent itself to a background for some beautiful images!

Without further a do.....
Congrats Kim and Frank, and thank you for having me be part of your wedding day!! All the best!

Frank had about 8-9 flower vases delivered to Kim that was put throughout the room :)

So excited to see each other!

Kim's son gave her hand in permission to Frank.
